Anti-Rollover Control and HIL Verification for an Independently Driven Heavy Vehicle Based on Improved LTR

The rollover evaluation index provides an important threshold basis for the anti-rollover control system of vehicle. Regarding risk independently driven heavy-duty vehicles, a new is proposed, and feasibility improved was verified through hierarchical HIL (hardware-in-the-loop) experiments. Based on 18-DOF spatial dynamics model vehicle, LTR (load transfer rate) obtained to describe dynamic change in tire’s vertical load. It replaces suspension force inertia unsprung load mass. avoids problem directly measuring or estimating index. Under conditions fishhooking angle stepping, three types indicators were compared, proposed can more sensitively identify likelihood rollover. In order apply well, controller based identification slip rate road surface, ABS with sliding mode, variable structure differential braking designed. Simulations tests proved that designed accurately predict avoid time. condition J-turning, yaw rate, maximum lateral acceleration are reduced by 9%, 16% 3%, respectively; under fishhooking, 12%, 18% respectively.
